Dennis Anderson

Dennis Anderson is BPR’s consultant for fine typography and book design. Each book designed and produced at Book Production Resources will be evaluated and approved by Mr. Anderson. His book design awards are numerous. The variety of books he has designed includes everything from poetry, literary criticism, and history to the 14th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style.

Dennis Anderson served exclusively for nine years as a book designer for the University of Chicago Press, with the latter half of that time as the senior book designer. His résumé of books designed at Chicago includes the 14th edition of  The Chicago Manual of Style, which was typeset in 1993 by Fred Thompson’s company, Graphic Composition, Inc., Athens, Georgia.

Since 1993, Anderson has been a freelance book designer. He counts as regular clients Book Production Resources, The University of Virginia Press, The University of Chicago Press, The University of Massachusetts Press, Northwestern University Press, Minnesota Historical Society Press, and International Marine.
